Top-down shooter Escape From Duckov hits 500,000 copies sold in three days after launch

The mark of half a million copies sold was reached by the PvE top-down looter-shooter Escape From Duckov, named in homage to Escape from Tarkov, the famous extraction shooter.

The achievement was reached just three days after the title’s launch and was announced via a post on the game’s Steam page on Oct. 19, 2025

Developed by Team Soda and published by Bilibili, Escape From Duckov was released for Windows and macOS PCs only via Steam on Oct. 16, 2025.

In the game, which features five unique maps and over 50 hours of content for a single playthrough according to its Steam page, players assume control of an Average Duck, who has ordinary stats and is armed with one basic gun, but can upgrade gear, gather items, collect over 50 weapons, and build a hideout.

As of the time of writing, the title, which landed on 400,000 Steam wishlists two weeks before launch, has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, with 5,520 reviews.
