Hades Drops on Xbox Game Pass
Hades joined Microsoft Gaming’s subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, on Sept. 19, 2025.
The game became available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC via the Xbox app, Xbox Cloud and Xbox One for members of Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass and Game Pass Standard.
Developed and published by Supergiant Games, 2020’s hack-and-slash roguelike dungeon crawler allows players to control Zagreus, the son of Hades, as he attempts to escape from the Underworld to reach Mount Olympus, at times aided by boons the other Olympians bestow on him.
Besides Xbox platforms, Hades was also released for Windows and macOS PCs, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and iOS smartphones.
The title’s sequel, Hades II, is slated to launch out of early access in full release on Sept. 25, 2025.
As of the time of writing, Hades has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam with 262,972 reviews and an all-time peak of 54,240 concurrent players, according to SteamDB.
