Citigroup taps Goldman, BNY veterans for senior wealth leadership roles, memo says

(Reuters) -Citigroup’s wealth management arm has hired two senior executives to bolster its investment solutions business, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Monday.

Christine Curtiss will join in October as head of asset manager relationships, a role in which she will lead the bank’s partners and work with third-party asset managers. She previously spent 15 years at BNY, where she most recently served as head of global family office, retail and international wealth.

Kate Boucher will join in December as global head of alternative investment sales, tasked with leading Citi Wealth’s growth strategy for the alternatives investment business. She comes from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she worked for 15 years, most recently as head of U.S. third-party wealth alternatives.

The moves align with CEO Jane Fraser’s restructuring push to streamline operations and improve profits in wealth management.

Revenue in the wealth unit, singled out by Fraser as a key growth area, was up 20% in the second quarter.
