New investment to scale Akselos’ simulation technology

Akselos, the global leader in Structural Performance Management, has obtained a follow-on investment from GRO Capital, a leading software-focused private equity firm. The funding will enable the company to scale its platform worldwide to help protect the world’s critical infrastructure through near real-time structural health monitoring capabilities.
For more than a decade, Akselos has pioneered the use of physics-based engineering simulation and AI for structural integrity. Its Structural Performance Management (SPM) delivers real-time insights that reduce risk, lower costs and extend asset lifetime of some of the most critical infrastructure in the world. This approach is also gaining global recognition, with the World Economic Forum and McKinsey’s Global Lighthouse Network highlighting AI for structural integrity as a key capability of advanced industrial sites—a field where Akselos leads worldwide in energy and infrastructure.
GRO Capital, which first invested in Akselos in 2023, has renewed its renewed commitment in the scale up by offering fresh undisclosed investment. The funding will be directed toward expanding its SPM platform and its benefits in markets where Akselos is the categorical leader, including offshore wind, oil and gas and large-scale infrastructure. This will support continued product innovation, accelerate the delivery of customer value, accelerate and improve capital efficiency, and deepen partnerships with leading operators.
Thomas Leurent, Co-Founder and CEO of Akselos, said: “The continued commitment from and partnership with GRO is a defining moment for Akselos. The world urgently needs technology that enables safer, more sustainable, and more resilient infrastructure. With GRO’s support, we can scale our impact, expand our reach, and continue to deliver real-time intelligence that helps our customers seize opportunities while reducing risk. GRO’s expertise in scaling advanced B2B software companies make them an ideal partner for this next phase.”
Maxwell Veyhe, Partner at GRO Capital, said: “Akselos is setting a new benchmark for how operators design, monitor, and maintain critical infrastructure. The company combines deep scientific innovation with proven industry deployment, and its impact is visible across the energy sector. Akselos is a perfect example of GRO’s thematic approach to advanced software investing and we are excited to continue supporting Akselos as it accelerates international growth and further cements its category-leadership position.”
