On Oct. 12, 2025, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game was revealed at New York Comic Con 2026. This is the “first-ever fighting game for the Avatar franchise,” and the announcement was accompanied by a short trailer showing off the characters in the game.

As shown in the trailer, Aang, Zuko, Korra, Toph, Sokka, Katara and Azula are expected to be in the game, but only Aang, Zuko and Korra’s animations were shown. The developers have not shown the other characters in the trailer, but illustrations of them were shown.

The game’s animation, from the trailer alone, seems to be very smooth and contains personality that encapsulates the essence of the character. Additionally, the martial arts, one of the highlights of the series, seems to have been perfectly replicated in the game.

Gameplay Group International is the studio behind Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. It’s the same as the publisher of another popular fighting game, Them’s Fightin’ Herds, which was a game originally based on My Little Pony, before Hasbro sent the developers a cease and desist letter, which led them to create the current version of the game.

As per their website, the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox Series X|S and the Nintendo Switch 2. Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is expected to be released in Summer 2026.
