Yakuza: Like a Dragon leads new pack of titles coming to PlayStation Plus

Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Silent Hill 2, Until Dawn, V Rising, As Dusk Falls, Wizard with a Gun, and Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 became available for all members of the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription plans on Oct. 15, 2025, with Tekken 3 becoming playable only for subscribers of PlayStation Plus Premium.

A 2024 survival horror developed by Bloober Team and published by Konami, Silent Hill 2, which is the remake of the 2001 original second installment in the Silent Hill series, became available on PlayStation 5.

Just like in the original game, the remake’s story centers on James Sunderland, a widower, who returns to the eponymous town in Maine upon receiving a letter from his deceased wife, Mary, who claims to be waiting there for him.

Another remake, which became playable on PlayStation 5, is 2024’s Until Dawn, which is the reworked version of 2015’s interactive drama survival horror game of the same name, developed by Supermassive Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.

In the game, players assume control of eight young adults who have to survive on Blackwood Mountain, with all playable characters being able to survive or die depending on the choices made by players.

Developed and published by Stunlock Studios, 2024 action role-playing vampire-themed survival game V Rising became playable on PlayStation 5.

Set in an open world and split into five biomes, the game allows players to control a recently awakened vampire and tasks them with gathering materials to make and upgrade equipment and build a castle that acts as the character’s base.

The eighth mainline installment in the Yakuza series and the first to be developed as a turn-based RPG, 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon, developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega, became playable on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

In contrast to previous Yakuza games that focused on Kazuma Kiryu, Like a Dragon introduces a new protagonist named Ichiban Kasuga, who goes on a personal quest to uncover the reason why his former boss betrayed him.

The episodic puzzle survival horror video game series developed and published in 2021 by American indie developer Mob Entertainment, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, also became playable on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The game, set in an abandoned factory owned by the fictional toy company Playtime Co., allows players to control a former employee who receives a letter inviting them back to the factory years after the company’s staff disappeared without a trace.

A 2022 adventure game, As Dusk Falls, developed by Interior Night and published by Xbox Game Studios, became playable on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as well.

The gameplay of the title revolves around interactive storytelling, as well as novel techniques used to gauge consensus among players for pivotal narrative decisions when playing cooperatively, with its narrative being a multi-generational story about two families whose trajectories collide in the Arizona desert in 1998.

A 2023 twin-stick shooter, Wizard with a Gun, developed by Galvanic Games and published by Devolver Digital, became playable on PlayStation 5 only.

In Wizard with a Gun users control a wizard who is attempting to stop the forces of chaos from destroying their world. The title also offers elements of survival games, such as collecting resources and base-building, allowing players to collect resources, craft, and upgrade their wizard tower.

Developed and published by Namco, 1997’s third installment in the Tekken series, Tekken 3, became playable on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The title takes place two years after 1995’s Tekken 2 and features a largely new cast of characters, including the debut of several staple characters such as Jin Kazama, Ling Xiaoyu, and Bryan Fury, and adds a sidestepping ability to every character.
