A side-scrolling roguelike beat-’em-up Absolum reached the mark of 200,000 copies sold, as was officially announced on the title’s Steam page on Oct. 17, 2025.

Developed by Guard Crush Games and Supamonks and published by Dotemu, the game was released on Oct. 9, 2025, for Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5.

Set in the world of Talamh, the game follows four rebels who must fight against the tyrannical Sun King Azra, who set out to conquer every magical land and rid the world of magic. Karl is a dwarf who fights enemies with his guns and bare fists. Galandra, the elf, is equipped with a huge sword. Cider is an agile character who wields two daggers, allowing them to attack quickly. Brome is a humanoid frog and a wizard who can float in the air using his scepter.

The soundtrack for the game was created by composer Gareth Coker (Ori, Halo Infinite, Prince of Persia), with collaborations from Yuka Kitamura (Dark Souls, Elden Ring) and Mick Gordon (Doom Eternal, Atomic Heart).
