PlayStation Unveils God of War-Themed Controller, Alongside New Wireless Speakers

The Sept. 24, 2025 PlayStation State of Play gave a glimpse into the new hardware Sony has been developing: a God of War-themed DualSense Wireless Controller and Pulse Elevate, the company’s “first wireless speakers for desktop gaming.”

The God of War DualSense Wireless Controller was made as part of God of War’s 20th Anniversary and has a classic skin reminiscent of the early God of War games. The white backdrop and the red highlight are present in this version of the controller.

The Pulse Elevate, on the other hand, was a surprising part of the State of Play as it seemingly came out of nowhere. The device was dubbed by Sony itself as its first wireless speakers designed for desktop gaming.

However, it’s also compatible with the PlayStation 5, Mac, the PlayStation Portal or even smartphones. It uses the PlayStation Link technology, which is also present in other Pulse devices and the upcoming fight stick controller, the FlexStrike. Surprisingly, the device also includes a “built-in mic with AI-enhanced noise rejection.”

The God of War DualSense Wireless Controller’s pre-order starts in October, but the actual release date has not been announced. The Pulse Elevate is set to come out in 2026.
