Pokémon Generation 10 release year supposedly leaked, codenamed Project Gaia

The company responsible for the mainline Pokémon games, GameFreak, had its plans up to 2030 supposedly leaked. The leak revealed upcoming projects through screenshots of a PowerPoint presentation, which presented an infographic outlining various plans for the future. Included within the leaks was Pokémon Generation 10, which, according to the leak, is scheduled for 2026 with DLC plans in 2027.

Generation 10 is referred to as Project Gaia, with social media accounts claiming there will be a Wind and Wave version. Within a Reddit post, a user comments that the 4 year cycle for generations is going to be permanent.

“It was definitely needed after how much of a mess Scarlet and Violet’s development was, but I was worried that they were only allowing for the delay of Gen 10 due to the 30th anniversary next year,”  the post reads.

Pokémon Generation 10 will reportedly redesign Pikachu as well. 3D models of the iconic creature were shared via social media; the latest iteration of Pikachu has a rounder face, while the rest of the body remains mostly the same.

The same leak indicates that Pokémon Legends: Galar will release in 2027 or beyond, a title that is speculated to be the next entry in the Legends series, which began with Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is the latest entry, scheduled to release on Oct. 16, 2025. Early copies of the game have already leaked, and various aspects of the game have been spoiled. A multi-Region Remake is supposedly planned for 2028 or beyond, while Pokopia will get a DLC update. Pokémon Champions was reportedly planned to released this year.
