One more indie becomes hit, Ball x Pit surpasses 300K copies sold in 5 days
Action roguelike Ball x Pit hit 300,000 copies sold in 5 days after launch on Oct. 15, 2025.
The announcement of the achievement was made via a post on the game’s official X (formerly Twitter) account on Oct. 20, 2025.
Developed by Kenny Sun and published by Devolver Digital, the title was initially released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X|S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for launch later in 2025.
Ball x Pit takes place in the ruins of Ballbybon after the city was destroyed by a meteor, leaving a giant pit. In the game, players control the adventurer who came to the ruins to seek the riches of the former city but must face hordes of monsters that lurk in the Pit.
The title has two separate stages, where the first one, set down in the Pit, is an action roguelike inspired by ball breakout games like Arkanoid, and the second one, set on the surface, tasks players with expanding a small village adjacent to the elevator that takes them into the Pit.
As of the time of writing, the game has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam with 2,242 reviews.
