Nintendo adds Mario & Wario and two other titles to SNES collection
Nintendo Online added three games to its online SNES catalog: Mario & Wario, BUBSY in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, and FATAL FURY SPECIAL, accompanied by a social media post on Oct. 8, 2025. Unlike the GameCube catalog, which is only available for Switch 2, the SNES collection runs on both iterations of the console, so long as they have a Nintendo Switch Online.
Mario & Wario is a puzzle-platformer developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. The title was initially released in 1993 for Japan only, but the in-game text is entirely in English. The Nintendo Switch Online iteration of the title marks the first time the game is reaching international audiences on an officially licensed product.
There are over 70 titles available in the Nintendo Online SNES collection; the game availability is affected by the player’s region. Purchasing the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, which costs $49.99 per year, grants access to all the prior perks alongside N64, GBA, Sega Genesis, and GameCube games. The expansion subscription also provides subscribers with DLCs for select titles, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
